Bringing a new seasonal special to the made for TV Halloween circuit, Dreamworks' Monsters vs Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space makes its premiere tomorrow night on NBC at 8/7pm C, boasting movie quality production values and voice casting. In fact, the film recalls nearly all of its original voice cast from the film including: Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, and Kiefer Sutherland.
At a network running time of 30 minutes, the short provides enough toilet humor puns to provoke some lighthearted laughter while avoiding the fate of its predecessor by not trying to overwork its threadbare plot. Though not enough to topple the kings of the Halloween hill (Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Garfield's Halloween Adventure, The Halloween Tree), it features a bunch of monsters versus alien pumpkins for the fate of the world. Do we really need another reason to watch? I think not.
How was it? I didn't get to watch it unfortunately. I feel like I haven't done much of ANYTHING Halloween related (excluding my visit to your place) this month. It's just one of those years bro. Now it's supposed to rain on Halloween (50 percent chance). I'm depressed.
