Although this one came out before my time, the theme music alone is enough to get the fan blood flowing, all cheesiness aside. The cast was a literal Who's who of the wrestling roster at the time (late 1980s) and included Hogan (of course), The Great Moolah, Andre the Giant, Jimmy Snuka, Rowdy Piper, Junkyard Dog, Big John Studd, The Iron Sheik and many more. Just like in the ring, there were the good guys (babyfaces) and bad guys (heels) and the tension between the two sides often resulted in whatever hijinks ensued for any given episode.
Produced by animation giant DiC Entertainment (Inspector Gadget and The Real Ghostbusters), the show didn't fare well with fans and only lasted one and a half seasons as a result. I guess its true what they say: some things are just better left off dead.
LOL, Yeah! I really liked watching this cartoon. I really don't remember many but I really enjoyed the comedic skits in between cartoons. The one thing I would complain about is....NO WRESTLING! Nothing took place in the ring, or at least in the episodes I remember.
