Your Halloween horror invitation has arrived.
Yeah, yeah. I know that by now this may be old news (it actually broke last week), but I for one am still stoked to finally have a chance to see the upcoming Night of the Demons (2010) remake this October. Despite not having a lot of marketing momentum behind it, Night of the Demons has the potential to be another direct-to-DVD sleeper hit for Halloween much like Trick 'R Treat was last year.
There also seems to be an "official" trailer for the remake floating around on YouTube (see above) though the contrast quality is quite poor and its dated 2009. The bright side (IMO) is that no matter how good/bad the storyline of the remake may be, director Adam Gierasch and his crew seem to have at least capture the tone of the original film: boobs, blood and black magic.
By forgoing a theatrical release, I'm hoping that Gierasch has chosen not to pull any punches. I guess we'll have to wait until October to really find out, but regardless you count on this one being mindless, bloody fun.

I'm actually pretty excited about this myself. I love the original and the sequel, but anything with packs of demon possessed people is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.
Hey, have you seen "The Convent" with Adrienne Barbeau? Good stuff and very much in keeping with the original Night of the Demons.
