Creative Spotlight: Monster Workshop

Monster Workshop

Monster Workshop2 They're cute. They're cuddly. And they're up for adoption. Designed by Stitches and Glue, these furry monstrosities of soft sculpture are part of their Monster Workshop series of handmade plush creatures. Though each monster is produced in multiples of around 10, each design has a unique name and backstory that helps to bring the beasts to life during their first few days with a new owner.

Inspired by real life examples of animal cruelty these homeless hominids not only serve to raise awareness of animal abuse, but 5% of each sale goes towards RSPCA in England to help rescue neglected or mistreated animals. My favorite creature currently in the shop has to be the blind and flea-ridden Yapi. With posable arms and hand painted facial features, how could you not love them?

Too cool. We need to buy some, throw red paint on them and REALLY make them shine.

Haha. These creatures are pretty neat, I'm thinking about getting one for Amber and one for myself. They remind me a little of My Pet Monster.

Charlie Brown was good, as usual, always a classic during the holidays.
