Its always inspiring to see a creative individual see the pursuit of his ideas bear fruit, perhaps nowhere more so than in the animation industry. With all of the red tape, executive decisions and property management hassles that go into the production and promotion of many mainstream toons, its nice when something good can still reach audiences and I must say that Nickelodeon is quickly affirming their status in my eye as the "go to" studio.
Case in point is the recently launched Fanboy and Chum Chum, the heroically misguided tales of two unhinged friends and the world within which they reside. Its refreshingly something my daughter and I can both enjoy equally as we roll our eyes to the hilariously simple-minded exploits of the boy blunders. Created by Eric Roubles (that's him jumping in the video) and produced by Frederator Studios (also behind Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents), Fanboy and Chum Chum is a fun flashback to childhood when it was okay to run around in a towel fashioned cape making swooosh-ing sounds. Heck, half of those who are reading this blog probably still do it... just not in public, please.
