Ha,ha! You'll shoot your eye out, kid! Though paraphrased from an all-time holiday classic (A Christmas Story) this quote could just as easily be conceived as a setup for some horribly ironic Freddy-devised death, making the fact that anyone would develop a line of merchandise for kids (see above) based on a guy who murders them all the more disturbingly poignant. To be honest, I can't really think of any modern movie monster that's received as much pop culture play as Freddy Krueger. From t-shirts to waterguns, Krueger's malicious mug has adorned all sorts of merchandise including: action figures, belt buckles, fashion, posters, Pogs, playing cards, shot glasses, sneakers, statues, talking dolls, yo-yos, and so much more. He's even been made into one of those Garfield-esque window clings. Yes, you too can have Freddy follow you around while you're sleeping or awake. Suddenly "living the dream" takes on a whole new meaning.
Those Freddy sneakers are sweet! Looked them up on eBay and they are WAY too expensive, as I imagined. Oh well, maybe I'll make my own Freddy Chucks or something.
